Christmas got a stylish, if damp, kick off in Fareham with the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights with a show and variety of stalls.
Hundreds of people endured the atrocious weather to pack into Fareham for the Christmas switch on. West Street was full of stalls, games, and rides for everyone to enjoy.
The event was hosted by radio station The Breeze 107 and consisted of a variety of people taking the stage to entertain shoppers including, local bands, choirs, brass bands, Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters, and the mayor and mayoress of Fareham.
The switch on was conducted by Peppa Pig and that was then followed by a firework display. Peppa Pig was also joined on stage by Father Christmas.
The stage was later taken over with a performance by Offbeat Offensive.
