Champagne and a singer to serenade customers will mark the opening of a new beauty salon in Warsash today (June 1).
After the ribbon cutting of the new Pink Me Up Boutique in Brook Lane, customers will be able to see the range of beauty products and treatments on offer.
Money from a raffle at the opening event will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity – something close to the heart of owner Jenna Sharpe.
“I’ve had a family member who had breast cancer,” said the 22-year-old owner from Titchfield.
“She’s luckily beaten it. But we’re not just fundraising, we’re raising awareness with leaflets and on our website. Each month we’ll send a donation.
“When I first researched it I found out 50,000 women a year are diagnosed with breast cancer and it’s the simple things you can do to check for it to diagnose it early.’’
Jenna said she wanted to bring a taste of glamorous spas that are in Dubai – where she lived for a year – to Warsash but at salon prices.
The opening takes place between 2pm and 4pm. Listen out for acoustic songs, chart toppers and tunes from the 70s and 80s by Joe Chiari.
The first 20 visitors to the salon will receive goodie bags.
