Santa Claus will arrive in style to a special Christmas event this Saturday (December 8 ) being pulled along by a team of huskies.
He will arrive at 4.30pm at the Locks Heath Shopping Centre before he switches on the Christmas lights at 5pm.
Christmas events will be running throughout this month at the district centre, and on December 15 Girl Guides will be volunteering to wrap people’s presents while a string duo perform all the favourite festive songs.
Cheeky Christmas Gargoyles Rocksy and Granit will be at the centre on December 22 interacting and entertaining shoppers on their walkabout jaunts as a street jazz trio perform yule-tide classics to get everyone in the festive spirit.
People can continue to skate at the Locks Heath’s rink through to the January 13.
Ian Goodridge, Centre Manager at Locks Heath Shopping Centre, said: “We know that Christmas can be a stressful time for shoppers and that’s why we’ve put in place some light-hearted entertainment to help lift the mood and ease the tension.
“The activities we have planned form just part of the rejuvenation programme underway at Locks Heath Shopping Centre and look forward to future events for our shoppers and their families.”
