Miracle on 34th Street in Titchfield

Performers at the Titchfield Festival Theatre Company will be showcasing an adaptation of the Christmas favourite Miracle on 34th Street from this weekend.

The show is a heart-warming, magical tale about Christmas that follows the story of a department store Father Christmas stand-in who claims to be the real deal.

The company commissioned Nick Scovell to adapt the 1947 film into a rarely performed play.

Director Kevin Fraser said: “We always try and schedule something a little different but with a Christmas feel.

“It seemed an ideal Christmas play with everything that our patrons would look for in a show at this time of year.”

The production is running from Saturday (December 8 ) to December 15 at the theatre on St Margaret’s Lane in Titchfield.

Shows start at 7.30pm, Saturday matinees at 2.30pm and tickets are priced from £9, concessions available.
